A Little Taste of Christmas at The Coop Pizza
Monday, December 22nd, 2008Over the weekend, I made my weekly trip for a slice of pizza at The Coop. They make the best pizza on the westside and the staff is quirky yet super friendly. It’s located at the corner of Palm and National right by Victor’s Meats.
So while i was waiting for my delicious $2 slice of cheese, this homeless lady i’ve around the neighborhood for years came into the Coop’s tiny store. She handed the owner a Christmas card and then left. The card was signed by about seven other bums as well as this elderly hooker. Bless her heart, this was one of the nicest moments I’ve witnessed this Christmas! The people who have the least took the time to say thanks. That’s really the Christmas spirit! As the owner pointed out, it would have been better if they had repaid her some of the money they owed for pizza, but nevertheless, bless her heart, what a sweet gesture!

And this is why The Coop Pizza is my restaurant pick of the week. Also, they sell a colossal, extra-large cheese, which is tasty and a great value!
